Warwick Kazakh Society


   HISTORY: 

 

Warwick Kazakh Society was established by Alibek Yerubayev  on November 29, 2007, and became a part of the large Warwick University community. Since its establishment, society actively participates in the social life of the university. During this short period WKS has established itself as one of the most active student societies, whose approach to organizing events or participation in them are always at a high level. For example, performance of the Warwick Kazakh Society in the biggest student run international event "One World Week" has collected a large amount of positive feedback. In the list of society’s future projects are a variety of activities, forums, concerts and festivals dedicated to Kazakhstan, creating a film about the life of the Kazakh students in the UK, as well as a variety of interactive and intellectual projects.

   MISSION AND VALUES: 

 

 

  • Uniting all the students from Kazakhstan and British students who are eager to explore the Kazakh culture and country itself.
  • Supporting existing and new students in their learning process and settling down in the University of Warwick.
  • Bringing new ideas to life, encouraging members of the society to explore their talents and express themselves.
  • Raise an awareness of the Kazakh culture, traditions which go far beyond the existing image created by Borat Movie.
