Exhibition
of the Kazakh ancient gold from the funds of the State Museum of gold
and precious metals of Kazakhstan, organised by The Ministry of Culture
and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and supported by the
Briti-Kazakh Society.
45 archaeological artifacts, which will
appeal to the British public by their fineness, chastity of the dcor
and the plasticity of geometric forms, will be displayed for the first
time on British soil. The central compositional core of the exhibition
is the famous Golden Man (Altyn adam), which was found in the Issyk
burial mound in 1969 and has been the pride of Kazakh archaeology ever
since.
The official opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held on 11 December 2009 at 10am.
