THE FIRST KAZAKH ARTS FESTIVAL IN LONDON

December 7, 11-18, 14, 2009

Dear Friends,

The Kazakhstan Student Society in the United Kingdom is pleased to invite you to the First Kazakh Arts Festival in London. We are forwarding you the letter from Eleonora Bekova with the details of the festival.

This year in celebration of the 18th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Gala forms part of the first Kazakh Arts Gallery in London. The Gala itself will this year be held on Monday 7 December in the beautiful and historic Great Hall in Guildhall, Gresham Street, City of London featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and there will be a second concert with the Kazakh Chamber Orchestra of Soloists on Monday 14 December at the Cadogan Hall in Sloane Terrace, London.

Both these concerts feature Kazakh artists and music written by Kazakh composers as well as much-loved Western European classical music.

An exhibition of Kazakh Art is also being mounted in Sotheby's Gallery, 34/35 New Bond Street between 11 and 18 December.

I am very grateful to our patrons and our sponsors, particularly ENRC Natural Resources, for their generous support.

I hope that you will be able to attend one or more of these events. I will be sending further details shortly but please do not hesitate to contact me to reserve your special place.

With very best wishes,

Eleonora Bekova
