Patriotism and desire to serve my country makes who I am. Everything I do is driven by this ideology. Since joining KazSociety came to realize how important it is to be proactive wherever we are, only by taking action and doing something we are going to achieve something for our country. Big fan of Chelsea, and supporter of Gordon Brown. Always open to critics and new ideas. Ambition for the time being to form a friendly and informed Kazakh Student community in the UK, just like in UCL. ps We are always open to new members, so if you want to get involved in KazSociety feel free to email.
Born in Almaty, currently studying BSc Computer Science with Management at Royal Holloway. Liked the idea of building the united platform for Kazakhstani students and agreed to join KazSociety. Also have worked on several web projects for students such as news website and social network at kaz-uk.com. That experience obviously helps me serving as Head of IT department at KazSociety. My hobbies are - football(crazy Man United fan), Internet, gadjets, economics and business
I’m a third year architecture student and this is my fourth year in the UK. Joined KazSociety in 2009, in order to contribute to its efforts in bringing everything to a new level. Enjoy working in a team of bright, ambitious and talented students, who are willing to make a difference. Apart from architecture, my interests lie in literature, politics, history of Kazakhstan, modern history of Europe, good films, good music, good food. Sport: judo and swimming. A proud supporter of FC Aktobe, and unquestionably a huge patriot of my country.
My name is Aiym Almas. I think that KazSociety is a good place to improve your everyday skills, whilst helping your own compatriots – and that’s amazing! I joined KazSociety Feb 2008, where I helped with the concert Far Far Away. I think entertainment is important for bringing people together and I believe people are ought to relax and have fun in our vigorous everyday studying community. While there is a tendency for people to think that KazSociety Entertainment specialises in parties, this is not the case, as we also do lots of other fantastic events like concerts, themed programmes, fun competitions etc. I love to work for my community, especially when it coincides with my interests like drama, singing and playing chess!:) Cheer up, Dream with KazSociety, Love Kazakhstan!
My name is Aiganym Zhunusbekova and I am currently in the Entertainment department, doing all the job behind the scenes, while Aiym gets all the plaudits. Also Ayim always copies me. However, despite all of this, I like it there!:) I think entertainment is important for bringing people together and I believe people are ought to relax and have fun in our vigorous everyday studying community. I love entertainment, but I am a diligent student, because I know when you can relax and where you should work! And arbeit macht frei, as Germans would say. KazSociety is a great place to be, because it teaches you that as well, Erik is very strict about it. But nevertheless you should always Dream with KazSociety, Love Kazakhstan!:)
I am a 2nd year student doing Economics at UCL. Kazakh Society is a huge part of my life. Being a president of the Kazakh Society UCL and also a member of the committee of the Kazakh Society in the UK really affects your life, add piles of homework to that (that is what you get for studying at the world’s 4th top university) and you are literally left with no free time. However, I love my life as it is! KazSociety is an experience that you should not miss out on. You work a lot and you learn a lot. It is an opportunity to do different projects and try yourself in everything, it is having awesome time with your friends and simply having fun!
I have joined KazSociety in October 2009. Currently I am studying Management and Italian in UCL. The things I love most in my life are my family and my friends. On weekdays you will usually find me at university, pretending to pay attention to the lessons;)The kinds of people I enjoy the most are ones who are ambitious, and who are trying to get the most out of their lives and aim to become successful. That is important to me,because I am one of those people. My dreams for the future are peace and happiness among Kazakhs. So what am I doing to achieve those dreams? Well, how about joining KazSociety for starters?)
I was always interested in something technical, and here I am, studying electronics. I like IT, politics, news and business management. I have just recently joined KazSociety, but I have ambitions and we will see where they will lead me in the future. I am ready to share my thoughts and experience with you, and I hope this web site will unite us, as we have the same interest – to promote and to tell the world about Kazakhstan. Let’s do this!

My name is Kair Duisenov, and I am the head of sports department. I like sports, competitions, and Man United. My ideal is Rooney!! He is a great player, because he scored a fantastic header to win the Carling Cup, almost exactly the same to the one he scored to Milan several weeks ago. As you can see, football is my specialisation, I like not only to watch but also play football, and we play football consistenly in the UK here, as you can see if you follow our website. I also think we should introduce a women sports for our Kazakhstan’s Student Community here, and the first sports that comes to my mind for the girls, of course, is curling!:)
Hi, Everybody! I am the head of PR department – yay! PR stands for public relations, basically I notify people about upcoming events, talk to people who need help etc. We also design lots of stuff, like banners, graffity walls in vkontakte and posters. I think about introducing special brand for clothes in KazSociety, I believe it would be a good idea! I love KazSociety, but please don’t tell my boyfriend!:) I’m studying Public Relations in University of Westminster. I am a first year Economics student. I have joined KazSociety’s Charity Department just recently to contribute to implementing its mission to help People as much as I can. Moreover, being a member of its friendly team is a good chance to make the most of the time spent here, in the UK. My greatest passion is photography. And inspiration for both pictures and life in general, is gathered from whom and what I love the most. These are Family, Friends, really good music, city life and beauty in all of its forms..
I am a first year student doing Economics and Philosophy. Joined Kazakh Society in November 2009. I really enjoy working in a team, with such ambitious, clever and kind people. In my spare time I like to read books about philosophy and psychology, visit theatres in London, hang out with my friends, and of course do some charity work! Charity is an important aspect of my life since I think it is crucial for people to help others in need. Dream with Kazakh Society, Love Kazakhstan, and help charity department!
Admires Gong Li. Mad for snooker. Adores Italy. Trully believes there could really be no one better than: Gioacchino Rossini in music, Luciano Pavarotti in singing; a car name more recognizable than Ferrari or Lamborghini, violinist better than Antonio Vivaldi, football player than Gianluigi Buffon, restaurant better than Enoteca Pinchiorri, wine better than Sassicaia and also it’s Italians who taught the French to use fork and knife. ITALIA, SEI NUMERO UNO SEMPRE!
Not too much about myself….Sometimes it is hard to introduce yourself because you know yourself so well that you do not know where to start with. I am interested in tennis, reading different types books, learning languages and discovering new places and cultures. I appreciate the opportunity of being the member of the team and thus to increase and promote the popularity of our Motherland abroad!
My name is Merey Dzhumabekova. Many people think that I dont work a lot in the KazSociety, and mainly it happens because I like to do my work unnoticed, even among the members of our team. Why would you need the praise, if you can always enjoy the fruits of your work in private. I know, that is a very zen-like approach, that is also why I follow a lot of feng-shui, bonsai growing and meditation.
I graduated in 2009 from King’s College London with major in business management. Besides the studies, whilst in the UK, I have had a pleasure of meeting many young, talented and ambitious students from Kazakhstan. I joined KazSociety in July 2009, I was offered to represent the society in Kazakhstan. My principal role as a representative will be promotion of KazSociety in Kazakhstan mostly by helping to organize and cultural events. KazSociety has undertaken a care-taking role for a private orphanage “Kovcheg” near Almaty. During summer holidays, we collected clothes and other essentials for the children and organized a concert and day out with the members of the KazSociety. We have also arranged for regular free visits to Otau cinema for the children from orphanage. Next, we are planning to organize a New Year’s Eve event for the orphanage and would welcome any help. If you are willing to support the event and help oprhans, please contact me at aigerim.adil@egolife.kz and a.adil@kazakhstudents.org Curently I am working on the furniture sale business which I am helping to build into the largest in Kazakhstan. In couple of years, apart my private business, I plan setting up a charitable club which would focus on helping disadvantaged children with getting a proper education. I am an enthusiastic dancer, the rest of my time I try to spending on reading books. I am a member of KazSociety as I believe that we all share the same ideas and we all believe that the KazSociety can be a platform for networking and socializing for the new generation of ambitious and intelligent students aspiring to make a difference in Kazakhstan. .
